Life is a Never-Ending To-Do List

Things I have finished doing

  • Writing my final paper
  • Getting my visas in order for my upcoming travels to SE Asia (!!)
  • Registering for fall classes (although this was a while ago)

Things I am in process of doing

  • Studying for my final of doom (which is tomorrow, eeeeek)
  • Preparing a speech for my (graded) presentation (which is also tomorrow)
  • Figuring out my Chinese visa situation for the summer
  • Confirming housing for senior year (so excited!)

Things I need to do

  • PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Get other tidbits in order for summer travels
  • Buy an international SIM card
  • Reply to various emails
  • Say my goodbyes
  • Upload photos from my camera to my computer
  • Confirm all my plans for the summer

I feel like I’m running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Which, if I were to actually see that in Beijing, I would not be surprised. (A chicken with its head cut off, that is, not me turning into a chicken and then getting my head cut off and running around afterward. Oh God, just reading that last sentence shows how frenzied I am right now. Moving on.)

A Public Service Announcement

I know that I have been MIA recently, and that my blog posts this semester have been severely lacking. For that I am sorry – I could not have prepared myself for how insane this semester has been. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been great, but I am constantly running around, searching for more hours in my day because I have so much going on.

My computer was getting fixed the last week, so I haven’t been keeping up with correspondence as well as I have been. I have a ton of emails in my inbox to reply to, as well as other online things to attend to. However… this week is finals week, and I have two huge finals to prepare for as well as a research paper to write. To top that all off, I have to pack up my things in my apartment and prepare to go on an adventure in southern China and vacation in southeast Asia. This all has to be done by Saturday. (Let’s not get into how much of this I have already done, or have yet to do – that would just be depressing.)

So, this is a long and roundabout way of saying that I haven’t forgotten this blog, nor have I forgotten the awesome people who have emailed me. I’ve just got a lot going on and am trying to juggle everything at once, with the hope of at least getting a little bit of sleep each night. ‘Tis the life of a student during finals week!
