Weekly Wrap-up #11 (powered by foursquare, long days, and wanderlust)

I recently decided to hop on the Foursquare bandwagon and start using the application. I still don’t fully “get” it but I think I’m getting the hang of using it. As far as I can tell, you “check in” to places on the application (so, you need a GPS-enabled (smart?)phone) to gain points. If you’ve checked into one place the most out of anyone on Foursquare, you become the mayor. And… well, that’s pretty much the extent of my understanding about Foursquare. I’ll see if my knowledge of all Foursquare has to offer increases the more I use it.

It’s been a pretty long week. I would add the adjective “stressful” in that sentence but I’ve pretty much established that stressed is my perpetual state of being. That and the fact that I’m sure in comparison to weeks coming up in the semester, it wasn’t really all that stressful. Long it was, though; I’ve been spending nearly the entirety of my days either in class, at work, or at my internship. There’s definitely the need to finesse my time management skills this semester what with everything I have going on. Luckily, it’s the weekend now, so I have some time to kick back, relax, and prepare for the upcoming week.

I’ve also got the itch to travel again. I was looking up cheap flights over winter break to cities such as Istanbul, Athens, and Peru. I’m not sure if there’s even a realistic chance of me going anywhere over winter break, but… I miss traveling. Travel bug, I has it.
