Weekly Wrap-up #13 (powered by exams, Pottermore, and humidity)

In DC, this past week and half has had absolutely crazy humidity levels. It’s supposed to be autumn now, for God’s sake, yet all I’ve felt in the DC area is oppressive humidity. (The gray, overcast skies don’t help either.) Yesterday, the humidity levels started going down and the sun broke out of the clouds for a bit but today it’s back to drizzly weather and bleak skies. It’s very disheartening.

(I feel like I talk about the weather an unusual amount on this blog. Clearly, I need to start leading a more interesting life for better blog entry topics.)

In other news, I had two exams this week, both of which (hopefully) went well enough. Now I have a stack of papers to write for the coming weeks. My planner is slowly but surely filling up with important deadlines for the month of October, which is slightly overwhelming but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I finally got cleared this week for early access to Pottermore, an interactive Harry Potter site. All week, I’ve been trying to brew potions and learn spells. I have a “reasonably supple” cedar wand with a unicorn core that’s 12 1/4 inches long. I also got sorted into Gryffindor, which I’m sure surprises no one.
