In the last week I’ve gone to brunch at Chef Geoff’s and The Diner. I’m not usually a brunch girl; it’s a little early in the day for me to be up and functional during the weekends. However, my two recent brunch experiences may have changed my perspective on this. I’ve discovered that there are few things in life that are tastier than brunches consisting of omelettes and mimosas or hot chocolates and croque madames. (Cafe Bonaparte has a good brunch too; I had brunch there two weeks ago.)
Something else I’ve been getting into lately are cupcakes. Okay, that’s partially a lie as I’ve always loved cupcakes. But I’ve been exploring my cupcake bakery options in D.C. Yesterday I had the most delicious chocolate-y hazelnut cupcake from Hello Cupcake, and I’ve had some pretty good ones from Sprinkles and Red Velvet Cupcake.
(So far this blog entry sounds like it’s a sponsored ad or something. Time for a change of subject.)
I went to formal yesterday with the boyfriend, which was really lovely. I’ve always loved getting dressed up, and formal was no exception. (The boyfriend looked pretty good too
) It was a fun night, because it’s always great to get together with friends (both new and old) and have a fun evening together. I took a few photos (and by that I mean the boyfriend did) and I’ll be posting them to Facebook soon.
