Between now and the end of the semester I have two group projects, three presentations (two of which are part of the aforementioned group projects), three exams, and one final paper. (Already completed: one final paper, one group project.) It’s the final stretch of the semester, which is always the most difficult. But then after that, I will be able to relax and unwind over winter break!
The worst thing about all this are the group projects, though. I’ve been relatively lucky with group projects this semester, but everyone knows that group projects are the absolute worst. I was talking about this with my supervisor at Amnesty International yesterday and she said working for a coalition was kind of like a perpetual, never-ending group project. We determined that the only way to completely avoid group project-related tasks in life was to live in solitude in a cabin and write a book. Since that clearly is not going to be a life plan of mine, I guess I’ll have to deal with group projects here and there.
Whenever I’m procrastinating from doing homework, I’ve been online browsing food blogs. I’ve been on such a cooking/baking kick lately that I really don’t know what to do with myself. I used an awesome recipe for one-pot stroganoff last weekend, which was a hit not only because it was delicious but dirtied only one pot. This morning I made rum balls for a friend’s event that I am going to tonight. Tomorrow, I think it might be pumpkin curry penne… or perhaps chicken with lemon cream? Decisions, decisions!
