This past week was the final week of classes for the fall semester. Not only was it the last week of classes, but it was also my last week at Amnesty International as a media relations intern. It’s been quite the busy week, but I’ve had it fairly lightly in comparison to the majority of my friends. Most of my big, all-consuming projects were actually due before Thanksgiving break rather than after, so I’ve spent the last week finishing up group projects and tying up loose ends for class, work, and interning.
Finishing up my classes and wrapping up my project in my role as the lead peer advisor in the Career Center really wasn’t all that monumental or anything, because most of my classes weren’t that great this semester (too much busywork) and I’m going to be continuing working at the Career Center next semester. However, finishing my role as an Amnesty intern was quite bittersweet. I’ve really enjoyed interning there, and I’m going to miss working in that office. I’m not any less excited about the opportunities I’ll have at the Peace Corps next semester, but my time at Amnesty has been more meaningful and fulfilling than I could have ever imagined.
Coming up this week are final exams, which I am so not excited about. I have three exams and a final paper to complete this week. However, by 5p.m. Wednesday I’ll be absolutely free of this semester, and that’s definitely something to look forward to!

Interning with Amnesty sounds like it was a wonderful experience! Peace Corps next semester? I think it’s awesome that you get involved in human rights organizations and world issues organizations, those are so important.
The rest of your week sounds incredibly busy, gahhh. I wish you luck!
(I didn’t realize you had started a different blog! Apparently I’m a bit slow on the uptake)
