Weekly Wrap-up #42 (powered by the last week of classes of my college career)

Isn’t it crazy to think that I’m officially done with my college classes? I remember how nervous I was for my first one (a literature class that was a general education requirement). My last college class, it turned out, was an international potluck dinner. Not a bad way to mark the end of four years’ worth of classes!

The semester is winding down, which means everything is wrapping up. I’m done with classes, and this week I will be done with my internship as well as my on-campus job. It’s hard to think that it’ll be all over, but I know I won’t have any time to dwell on it because then everything will be consumed by graduation. I can’t believe that graduation is only two weeks away.

Till then, my life will be consumed by finals and that pesky job search. Ugh, the less said about the two the better.

Weekly Wrap-up #41 (powered by people I am grateful for)

  • My mom, who is supremely awesome in every which way
  • My uncle, who helped me out when I was in a bind this past week (not that he even reads this blog, so he won’t know how grateful I am for his help. But I know my aunts read this, so I’m sure they’ll tell him!)
  • My favoritest coworker, who is always there when I need advice at any time of day
  • My roommate and best friend, who “gets” me like few other people in this world do and is always there for me
  • My brother, who has always had the uncanny ability to make me burst into laughter and remember to smile whenever I start to get upset or frustrated
  • My grandpa, who at age 94 has one of the sharpest minds around and a sense of humor that always catches me unawares
  • My boyfriend, who loves me despite all of my flaws, insecurities, tendency to overanalyze and have freak-outs about the silliest things

I’m a really lucky girl.

Weekly Wrap-up #40 (powered by stress and Relay for Life)

This week has been stressful. I don’t really want to write about it, actually. Suffice to say that the stresses of everything that comes with graduation are really getting to me, and the job search is still that so far: a search.

However! I do have something to look forward to tonight, which is Relay for Life. One of my friends is on the committee that puts the event on, and I know that they have all been working really hard for what should be a great night. Not sure if I’ll be up for staying awake all night (most likely not) but I definitely will be there for at least a portion of the evening to demonstrate my support.

I have also been listening to Florence + the Machine nonstop for the last week. I don’t see this fact changing anytime soon.
